Edmonton oilers is the home team of Edmonton which induced the interest and passion among people and hockey in Edmonton: the team was first formed in the year 1971 and was introduced to play national matches by World hockey Association (WHA). The team debuted in the following year and played several match winning tournaments. The Strength of hockey in Edmonton oilers was proved to the world when they dominated the Stanley cup b continuously winning for five times. The team was actually owned and maintained by Bill hunter who is the founder of the famous western hockey league. Bill also owned another hockey team called Edmonton Oil Kings, a junior hockey franchise. The oilers participated in one of the most prestigious hockey tournament the “National Hockey League” for the first time in 1979 which was not a great success due to limited resources. It was in the year 1980 the team underwent drastic changes rose to massive power. The hockey hall of fame describes the era as the “dynasty” of Edmonton oilers.
